Arman have an adorable story, in Prova's words, "We first met at school i
2006. He was in A levels and I was in class 8. We were friends for quite some
time and eventually realized that we were madly and irrevocably in love with
each other.
We love new and interesting ideas for wedding decor, so its no surprise that we love this trend of umbrellas. Umbrellas have been used for a while now in indian weddings, but they are being used more and more creatively. As much as we love Bangladeshi Weddings, we love how creative fusion weddings can be. The merging of two different cultures can traditions can be quite difficult. Sarah and Ben - Bangladeshi + Jewish Wedding
Sarah and Ben had an amazing fusion wedding that highlights both her Bangladeshi heritage and his Jewish Heritage. We love Sarah's Tarun Tahiliani gown that incorporates the bling of a lehenga and the elements of a ball gown. The bridesmaids wore pretty sarees as well as mehendi. Judging from the photos we can see that everyone definitely had a blast!
Samantha + Heinz - Bangladeshi + American/European Wedding
Samantha and Heinz had the perfect balance of Bangladeshi traditions in their fusion wedding. We love her unique Sabyasachi ensemble and the amount of attention that was paid to every little detail. From the chai stall to the drinks stand, the amount of detail is phenomenal. The end result was a beautiful fusion wedding and gaye holud.

I’ve been doing professional wedding photography since 2009 and by God’s grace I’ve covered more than 1,000 weddings so far. As a photographer, I believe that there's just something about being able to capture the moment, the emotions. The thought of being able to capture some of the happiest memories of a person’s life and preserving them forever is what always motivates me. Inspirations: My biggest inspiration would be Zack Arias. I think his work is truly brilliant and the way he thinks and feels about photography is absolutely amazing!

In Tajkia's words, "We met during a conference that the MSAs put together from our respective colleges each year. We both attended this from our schools, which was held in Austin, TX that year, and ended up briefly meeting there. Then we became friends on Facebook and realized we’re both from colleges in Dallas, TX. He went to Southern Methodist University and I went to University of Texas at Dallas. We eventually met up a couple of months later and started to hang out once in a while. About a year after we met, we started dating!"
The Proposal
According to Tajkia, Nafees is a true romantic at heart. This is how Tajkia describes her fairy tale proposal:
"Before our engangement party Nafees surprised me by setting up this plan secretly with our photographer. He asked photographer Axel Leong to e-mail me asking if I wanted to do a complimentary photoshoot before the party. And of course I said yes! So the day of the photoshoot I got ready and went to the Dallas Arboretum and started walking around with Nafees waiting for our photographer to arrive. An hour or two passed by and I kept texting Axel asking if he is on his way. He said he was stuck in traffic, he’ll be there soon, etc. Then finally we decided to rest and sat down under a tree. I was getting fed up by this time lol! And we laid out on the grass on a perfect spring day in 2012. And as we’re laying there Nafees pulled out a ring, the first thing he said was that he forgot about the ring I was eyeing so he picked a different one, and if I would still marry him with this ring! I started laughing and said what in the world?…aren’t we supposed to be doing a photoshoot today? What!? You’re proposing?? Then, of course I said yes! He explained how he ordered the ring he wanted to get me, but he wanted me to see it at the party which was coming up in a week. It was a low key proposal and the people around us didn’t even realize what he did but it was our moment and I loved it. And about our photoshoot..it was a set up! Axel played along with it for the sake of the surprise and I totally fell for it!"

We are Canon fans and always love to play with the latest top notch gadgets.

Depending on events, we bring portable lights and studio set ups but we always try to use those as minimum as possible. We often found it awkward for guests and client if photographers keep trailing on the stage.
We need to remember, it’s a wedding not any model shoot; unfortunately lots of photographers forget these and make a circus.

In regards of colours, stages and lightings, we should say this is not an issue for wedding photographers. These all can be manageable. Make your decor as the way you want and as a professional it will be our task to capture the moment and represent them on the best possible way.

How they met
Anika and Mayaz were introduced by their fathers. Although their fathers were friends for years, Anika and Mayaz never met. They had a long distance relationship considering Anika was in Bangladesh and Mayaz was in Singapore and they constantly talked over the phone. After a couple of weeks or so they had madly fallen in love with each other and decided to tie the knot.

Their proposal is perfectly explained by Anika "It was hilarious! Mayaz was in his office chatting to me on Facebook. All of a sudden he asked me to be his better half. Talk about romantic environment; dinner, rose, dressing up and what not and here I was getting proposed via Facebook when I was still in my pajamas!
We still think it's romantic! and definitely a story to make the grankids chuckle in years time. A story which also highlights the convenience of modern day technology. Imagine how hard it was for our parents.
Planning
Anika and Mayaz had five fun-filled colourful events, planned within four months and all their precious memories were captured between two of the best photographers in Bangladesh. Their Paan Chini/Engagement, Gaye Holud and Wedding Reception was captured by The Dream Catchers. Their Gaye Holud and Wedding Reception was also captured by Reminiscence Photography. Their Wedding Ceremony and Mehndi were captured by Flare Photography.
To add personal touches to the wedding, Anika and her family chose not to hire a wedding planner. Instead the whole thing was planned by her, her family and her in-laws. Ultimately their weddings were Pure Bengali themed which were cosy and warm.
What was your favourite song played at your wedding? "Not played! My husband sang 'Toke Putuler Moto Kore Shajiye' for me on stage. That was my favourite moment!"
